Is there a way to research Bohdan Khmielnitzky's genealogy

Hi,
We've always been told in our family that we descend from Bohdan Khmielnitzky, but I don't know how to prove it or where to research. I'm also limited on a linguistic point of view, as I don't speak Ukrainian.
